The Munich Local Division (presiding judge and Judge-Rapporteur Zigann) granted the defendants' application to extend the deadline to comment on the JR's provisional dates for the interim conference (7 February 2024) and main oral hearing (4 June 2024) until 8 January 2024. The defendants had wrongly used the main workflow rather than the dedicated Rule 9 workflow required by Rule 4.1 RoP, which the JR cured by opening a fresh workflow. While the JR agreed with the claimant that 21 days even over the holiday season should normally suffice for hearing-date coordination, exercising the court's discretion the brief extension was appropriate because the overall handling of the case would not be materially affected.
