v.
Dreame et al.
notable
The Hamburg LD partially granted Dyson's PI against Dreame for hair styling device patent infringement. The court established that an EU Authorized Representative (mandatory under GPSR/market surveillance regulations) can serve as anchor defendant under Art. 8(1) Brussels I recast, enabling jurisdiction over non-EU manufacturers for Spanish national patent infringement. The Authorized Representative is also an intermediary under Art. 63(1) 2nd sentence UPCA, subject to injunction. PI was granted for older Dreame products (curling attachments literally infringing) but denied for newer versions (staggered curling attachments not infringing).
