The Hamburg Local Division (judge-rapporteur Dr. Schilling) extended and aligned the deadlines for preliminary objection (to 6 November 2023) and statement of defence (to 8 January 2024) across all nine Gucci defendants in an AGFA infringement action. The statement-of-defence extension was consensual; the preliminary-objection extension was granted despite the claimant's limited consent because alignment across defendants streamlines case-management in the still-developing CMS, because defence counsel had proactively accepted representation for all defendants thereby enabling prompt electronic service (which otherwise risked compressing the relevant time-limits), and because the extension preserved the UPCA's structural gap of two months between the preliminary objection and statement-of-defence deadlines.
