v.
Amazon et al. - UPC-CFI-0002434/2026
routine
The judge-rapporteur of the Milan Local Division aligned the written-procedure deadlines of four co-defendants served on three different dates. Both sides agreed that alignment served efficient case management, but disagreed on the common date: the defendants wanted the period to run from the last service, the claimant from the first. Under R. 9.3 and R. 334(a) RoP the judge-rapporteur may extend or shorten any time limit on a reasoned request. Because the defendants belong to the same corporate group and are jointly represented, the Court held it reasonable to assume that once the first company was served the others also knew of the statement of claim, and took the earliest date of service as the common starting point for the period under R. 23 RoP.
