The Düsseldorf Local Division (Panel 1) stayed both the infringement action and the counterclaim for revocation with immediate effect after the parties reported a settlement agreement signed on 17 July 2026 covering all patent infringement and ancillary proceedings between them. Under R. 295(d) RoP the Court may stay proceedings at the joint request of the parties; the Court treated the claimant's application of 23 July 2026 and the defendants' consenting brief of 24 July 2026 as such a joint request, without requiring a single jointly signed submission. Consistently with the stay, the Court announced its intention to cancel the oral hearing scheduled for 8 April 2027 and gave the parties until 30 July 2026 to object. The order disposes of nothing on the merits and leaves the settlement itself outside the Court's decision — no decision by consent under the Rules on settlement was sought or made.
