The Hague Local Division (JR Kokke) deferred the Defendants' R. 19 preliminary objection on jurisdiction to the main proceedings under R. 20.2 RoP. The Defendants — Sinocare, multiple Menarini entities across UPC and non-UPC states, and Obelis Swiss — sought to deny UPC jurisdiction over Menarini UK, Menarini ES and Obelis Swiss, to limit territorial scope to the UPC Contracting Member States for the EU Menarini entities and Codifi, and to limit the Sinocare claim to UPC Member States and to the i-CAN i3 products.
