This is Rule 002 from the UPCRoP (Verfahrensordnung des Einheitlichen Patentgerichts), which is part of the legal framework governing the Unified Patent Court in Europe.
Subject to paragraph 2, in these Rules with the exception of Rule 5 the expression “patent” and “proprietor” shall whenever appropriate include, respectively, a supplementary protection certificate as defined in Article 2(h) of the Agreement and granted in respect of the patent and the holder of such certificate.
References in these Rules to the language in which the patent was granted shall mean that language and not the language in which a supplementary protection certificate in respect of the patent was granted.
